Welcome to M&W's Concealed Handgun Training web site. M&W is a full service concealed handgun training
class. M&W is the only authorized Concealed Handgun License class taught inside
of the Bass Pro Shop in Grapevine. M&W offers a one-day training course, which includes your passport photographs, notary, fingerprints, and of course the shooting proficiency test.
You need to know how to shoot before you come to our class. The CHL proficiency test is to demonstrate to the instructors that you are indeed proficient with your handgun.

Remember:
This course is not designed to teach you how to shoot a pistol. You must show
the instructors you are proficient with your pistol. This means safe handling,
shooting, and knowing how your pistol functions.
In addition to the CHL class, we also provide a handgun-training course which can prepare you for the CHL shooting proficiency test. Please feel free to browse our web site as we have a ton of valuable information for you.

Also, we do not charge extra if you need to use one of our
pistols. You will need to purchase your own 50 rounds of ammunition. Please do
not forget your eye and ear protection. Please wear a shirt that can be buttoned
all the way up. Ejected brass is hot. Do not wear sandals or open toe shoes.
Here is what you look for when you get to Bass Pro. If you

Look for this sign on the roof of Bass Pro. The solid steel security entrance
door to the building is under this sign. This is where you will meet one of your
instructors. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can have your firearm
checked and locked. DO NOT bring a loaded firearm into Bass Pro. DO NOT have any
ammunition in your magazine. Due to time constraints, ONLY bring the firearm you
are going to use to qualify with, one magazine, 50 rounds of factory ammunition,
and eye and ear protection.
Also, Please DO NOT fill out the passport photograph
template or fingerprint cards.
First time students class
times are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Renewal license times are Saturday mornings from 7:00
am. until around noon.
Please bring a black ink pen for the required paperwork. You will also
need to bring eye and ear protection and 50 rounds of factory ammunition when we go to the shooting range.
We usually do not book more than 20 students per class.
This ensures that the student to instructor ratio is where it should be. In
turn, when you book a seat, we are counting how many student we have at a
given date. If you can't make the class date that you scheduled we will find
room for you at another time within 3 months. In most cases we are booking
students months in advance. If you cannot make up the class in three months,
we will have no choice but to remove you from the list without a refund.
